The Rajah Endowment Fund was the brainchild of Arthur L. Bustard, PP and was established on December 7, 1982 initiated by his personal donation.  Its original  intent was to provide funds to maintain the Rajah Temple building on North 6th Street in Reading, but it also provided for possible future changes to our location and facilities.  The document in part reads "....... or for use in the preservation, improvement, operation and maintenance of any replacement Temple facilities".

The Endowment Fund provides for use of the annual income earned on the principal to cover those categories mentioned above subject to a majority vote by the Rajah Governing Board and a majority vote of approval by the Past Potentates of the Cabiri.  That income may not be used for routine budget items.  Any income not used for a given year is applied to the principal.  Use of funds from the principal for any purpose also requires a majority vote by the Rajah Governing Board and a majority vote of approval by the Cabiri.  Other conditions may apply for use of the principal and those conditions are at the discretion of the Cabiri.

Over the years, individuals, Clubs and Units have contributed to the fund.  The following list shows what the Endowment Fund has provided for Rajah.
