Did you know that you can help Shriners Hospitals
for Children every time you enjoy the canned beverage of your
choice? You Can! Simply save the aluminum tabs from the top
of your cans and when you are near the Rajah Office drop them off. |
 |
Everyday, over $1.6 million is spent to operate the 22 Shriners
Hospitals throughout North America and here's a way for you to help that
doesn't even cost you one dime extra. (Now that we have your attention!)
When enough tabs are collected, they are delivered to the collection
point and the funds raised are donated directly to the hospitals.
|
| The tab program started approximately four
years ago and is a very easy program to support. Save your tabs
and either drop them off at the Rajah office or bring them to your next Unit or Club meeting. Even if you only have a few tabs, when you put them in
the can, they really begin to add up! |

|
We'll be sure to have the collection can at the
Pote's Picnic in August! |

Board Chairman Charles Schueler
with Dick Bortz
|
Thank you for the outstanding job done by the Rajah Shrine and other Shrines that have contributed to the tab
collection.
Tabs are collected in the Mid Atlantic area by schools, civic
organizations, churches, Shrine organizations and many
individuals.
The money is to be used for personal items for the children at the
Shrine Hospital in Philadelphia.
|
|
As of March 2008, we have collected over 18 tons or over
46 million tabs and donated $23000 to the Philadelphia Shriner's
Hospital. |
|
|
A BIG THANK YOU to all of you for what you donated for the children.
Keep 'em coming!
Walter "Dick" Bortz
