Rajah Shrine will provide an opportunity for
children in our area who suffer from orthopaedic disorders to receive
help by holding Mini Clinics on April 14, May 12,
May 19, and October 13. |
| |
| Children with orthopaedic disabilities up to
age eighteen are eligible to receive a free examination, evaluation and,
if necessary, referral for treatment. No appointment is necessary
to visit a Mini Clinic. Children are seen on a first come, first
served basis. Upon arriving at a Mini Clinic and having the
necessary application form completed, the children are examined by a
doctor and nurse. The children's conditions are evaluated in terms
of the severity of their condition, the necessity for treatment and the
ability of the Shriners Hospital to help them. Upon the
determination that a child can be helped by treatment at the Shriners
Hospital, they are given a referral to the Hospital. The Mini
Clinics are the first step in a process that could very well lead to a
significant improvement in a youngster's life. |
